Vietnam Airlines will issue requests for proposals (RFP) to OEMs next year for the purchase of 50 narrowbodies, according to Reuters. The outlet cited the airline's CEO Le Hong Ha who spoke at the Association of Asia-Pacific Airlines event.
The airline had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for 50 737 MAX aircraft, worth around $10bn, in September 2023 and has not yet been finalised.
Reuters also reported, speaking to Ha on the sidelines, that the “door is still open for everyone”.
