Southwest Airlines appoints new executives to support customer experience

Southwest Airlines has made new appointments to support its evolving customer experience. 

Sabrina Callahan has been appointed as chief digital and marketing officer. She brings experience driving growth and transformation across digital and ecommerce, brand, social, and marketing. 

Nandika Suri has joined as vice president of rapid rewards to lead the company's Rapid Rewards loyalty programme. 

Callahan will focus on growing the airline's customer base as Southwest continues to expand into new markets and add more options for customers. 

“Sabrina's creative leadership and thinking will shape how our beloved brand continues to engage with Customers in a genuine Southwest way,” said Southwest Airlines EVP and chief customer and brand officer Tony Roach. 

Sabrina bring experience from companies including Hilton, Walmart, and AT&T. 

Nandika will lead the Rapid Rewards organisation and work with partners across the company to grow loyalty, increase programme membership, and drive engagement. She will also advance key partner relationships, including the co-brand portfolio. 

“Southwest is highly focused on continuing to evolve the customer experience, especially for our most loyal customers and under Nandika's leadership, her team will be a powerful driver of enhancing customer choice and long-term value – a critical connection that we continue to invest in,” said Roach. 

Nandika brings experience from travel and consumer brands including Choice Hotels International, Under Armour, and United Airlines.
