Norway said Norwegian Air will pay back half of its convertible loan to the state and the other half of the state's shares in the loan will be converted into shares in the airline, Reuters reported on May 12, 2025.
The government's stake in the airline will be 6.37% after the conversion. The convertible loan is from Norwegian Air's restructuring in 2021.
