Morgan Lewis adds Mehtap Cevher Conti in New York to strengthen aviation finance capabilities

Morgan Lewis has added Mehtap Cevher Conti as partner to the firm's finance practice in New York. The firm said this appointment will support its aviation finance offering.

“2026 will be a pivotal year for aviation finance as the market continues to absorb evolving interest-rate dynamics, and the rapid digitalization of asset lifecycle data, among other developments," said Conti. "Lessors and lenders are rebalancing risk through innovative structures, while airlines seek nimble capital solutions to support fleet renewal and sustainability goals.”

She arrives from Hogan Lovells, Mehtap advises financial institutions, aircraft operating lessors, and airlines on complex domestic and cross-border aviation financings including leasing, secured lending, and structuring financings.

"Mehtap's arrival deepens our capabilities at the intersection of asset finance and transportation, where clients require nuanced, sector-specific counsel to navigate evolving market dynamics,” said firm chair Jami McKeon. “Her practice reflects the sophisticated, cross-border work our clients increasingly demand as they pursue complex financing strategies in a global market.”

Mehtap's practice encompasses secured debt, export credit agency supported transactions, revolving credit facilities, finance leases, operating leases, and portfolio acquisitions.
