LOT Polish Airlines has signed a five-year nacelle MRO agreement with ST Engineering to support its 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet, extending its established agreement with the maintenance provider.
The deal also adds a structured refurbishment programme that includes predictive maintenance methodologies into nacelle lifecycle management. This programme will provide a more data-driven planning framework, aiming to minimise unscheduled removals and increase turnaround performance, as well as optimising total cost of ownership for its 787 operations.
“This programme is a strategic investment in operational efficiency and long-term value creation for fleet resilience," said LOT Polish Airlines technical operations managing director Wiktor Radon. ”Predictive maintenance provides measurable advantages: fewer unscheduled events, assured turnaround times, and enhanced aircraft availability — outcomes that underpin our financial objectives and reinforce service continuity for our customers.”
ST Engineering head of global nacelle MRO Henrik Scholtfeldt said: “By including predictive maintenance in our partnership, we are able to further strengthen our service consistency and support LOT Polish Airlines in reaching higher cost efficiency and operational resilience.”
