Industrial action impacts Finnair results

Finnair has reported revenues of €3.1bn for 2025, a stable increase of 1.9% compared to 2024.

Operating result for the year was €64.2 million, nearly halving from €114.2 million in 2024. Comparable operating result was €60.1 million, more than halving from 151.4 million in 2024. 

“Industrial action had a direct negative impact of around €68 million on the comparable operating results,” said Finnair. 

Earnings were €0.09 per share, down from €0.18 in 2024. 

Capacity for the year was up 2.7%, while passengers were up 2% to 11.9 million — resulting in its load factor increasing 1.1 percentage points to 76.9%.

€789.5 million for fourth-quarter of 2025 — a stable 0.8% increase on 2024's fourth quarter.

Operating result totalled €46.4 million, up from €12.1 million. Adjusted operating results totalled €61.7 million, up from €47.9 million. 

Earnings for the quarter were €0.13 per share, swinging from a loss of €0.04 per share a year prior. 

For the quarter, Finnair's capacity was up 1.7% and passenger numbers increased 2.2% to 2.9 million, resulting in passenger load factor climbing 0.7 percentage points to 77.1%. 

Finnair estimates its revenues to be between €3.3 and €3.4bn in 2026, while operating result is expected to be €120-190 million.
