Can airlines put the screws on the lessors any further?

Finnair has carried 904,400 passengers in February 2026, which was up 6.9% compared to the same month last year.
The increase was positively impacted by the industrial action in February last year limiting passenger numbers. The growth was also supported by passengers numbers growing significantly in Asian traffic, as well as growth in domestic and European traffic.
The airline also reported slight traffic growth in the Middle East and a stable result for North Atlantic traffic.
Revenue passenger kilometres (RPK) increased by 8.5% Passenger load factor improved 2.6 percentage points to 77.7%.
