A FedEx cargo plane made an emergency landing at Newark’s Liberty International Airport on March 1, 2025, after striking a bird shortly after take-off.
The 767 which departed Newark at around 8am local time was heading for Indianapolis, with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirming that the strike damaged one of the 767’s engines.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have launched an investigation into the incident.
