Etihad Airways launches strategic partnership with Condor

Etihad Airways has formed a strategic partnership with Condor. This comes alongside the German carrier launching daily flights from Berlin and Frankfurt to Abu Dhabi from summer next year.

The new partnership includes a codeshare agreement between the two airlines.

“This codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways is the great foundation on which we are building our new services to Abu Dhabi to better connect Germany's capital Berlin and Europe's financial hub Frankfurt to the GCC and beyond,” said Condor commercial director and member of the executive committee Jens Boyd.

“This partnership puts the traveller first: Condor guests will discover Abu Dhabi’s award-winning hub and seamless onward journeys across our extensive network, while our customers will benefit from enhanced connectivity to destinations across Germany and beyond,” said Etihad Airways chief revenue and commercial officer Arik De.

Members of Etihad's loyalty programme can earn and redeem miles when flying on the Condor-operated flights between Frankfurt or Berlin and Abu Dhabi. The airlines plan to introduce further reciprocal loyalty programme benefits.

Condor will operate daily flights to Abu Dhabi from Frankfurt on its A330 aircraft, while its Berlin to Abu Dhabi service will be operated on A320 aircraft.
