Cathay Pacific has announced that it will no longer carry shark fin on its cargo flights in response to pressure from environmental groups.
The airline said in a statement that it would “stop shipping unsustainably sourced sharks and shark-related products.”
Some 10,500 tons of shark fin were imported into Hong Kong, with Cathay handling as much as 650 tons.
