Allegiant carried 1.33 million scheduled passengers in August 2024, somewhat flat from the same month last year at a positive 1.3%. Scheduled service revenue passenger miles (RPM) was flat at a 0.8%. Capacity was up 2.7%, while load factor was down 1.5 percentage point to 84.5%.
Total system passengers was up 1.8% to 1.3 million. Capacity was up 3%.
In addition, it updated its third quarter guidance, expecting system capacity to be up 1.8%. Previous guidance estimated system capacity to be up 1.3%. Scheduled service capacity is set to be up 1.6%, up from 1.3%.
Fuel cost per gallon was trimmed down marginally from $2.80 per gallon, down to $2.70.
Allegiant anticipates a consolidated loss per share, excluding special charges, of around $1.75 to $2.25, compared to a previous loss per share estimate of $2.50 to $3.50.
