Air India is planning to invite bids for a sale-leaseback transaction for up to seven 787s – the airline needs to raise $850 million.
In June Air India arranged $500 million in debt to pay for five 787s and $190 million through ECBs from the First Gulf Bank, Investec Bank and Deutsche Bank to part-fund two aircraft.
