Air Algerie is launching a transformation plan to boost its performance, the airline's CEO Hamza Benhamouda said in an interview with Algeria Press Service (APS).
The airline aims to launch MRO and tour operator subsidiaries as part of this plan, intending to enhance operational capacity and competitiveness.
With these initiatives, the airline plans to restructure itself into an aviation group or holding company — gaining tax and operational advantages from the structure.
Additionally, the airline has created two new subsidiaries, which launch in January next year: Air Algerie Ground Operations and Aviation Training. The former is dedicated to ground handling, while the latter will support training.
