The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) has appointed Robert Balls as chief inspector of air accidents.
Rob joined the AAIB in 2020 as an inspector of air accidents (engineering) before becoming a principal inspector in 2024.
“Our work is vital, and as the aviation sector rapidly evolves I am committed to ensuring the AAIB continues to play a leading role in aviation safety by conducting thorough, independent investigations that make a real difference," he said.
