American Airlines has reached an agreement in principle on a new contract with its pilots union. The agreement, if agreed by the AA board and ratified by the pilots, could clear the way for the airline to exit bankruptcy.
In a message to its members on Friday, the union said its board of directors could vote on ratification could happen within a week.
