Dart Group, which owns Jet2holidays, has posted pre-tax profits of £41.6m in the six months to September 30 – a rise of 8% over the same period last year. The good news comes despite high jet fuel costs hitting budget airline Jet2.com hard. Capacity at the airline was up by 29% in the six month, while revenues rose by 27% to £316m. Jet2.com flew 3.2m scheduled passengers in the period, an increase of 32% on last year, while load factors increased from 87.5% to 89.8%.
