Alternative energy developer, financier, builder and operator Solarig is one step closer to making a 116,000 sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) facility in Spain a reality, having reached an agreement with SOMACYL (Sociedad Pública de Infraestructuras y Medio Ambiente de Castilla y León) to acquire the site. The ‘NUMABTIA SAF’ plant, located in the municipality of Garray, will have an annual output rate of 90,000 tonnes of SAF when operational in 2028. It will combine provision for two production pathways (power-to-liquid and gas-to-liquid), with all the processes in the plant to be powered by renewable energy. President and CEO of Solarig
