Chinese aviation witness passenger surge in January with 39.78 million passengers

After a long wait of easing of pandemic restrictions, the Chinese aviation sector is back on its road to recovery. In January 2023, the Chinese civil aviation industry carried around 39.78 million passengers recording a rise of 34.8% as compared to January 2022, according to the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). The passenger turnover has recovered to 74.5%of the same period in 2019.
