American Airlines on-time departure and arrival performance improves 15% in holiday period

American Airlines has reported a strong festive period throughout December 20 2023 to January 8 2024, despite challenges presented by weather and air traffic control delays. Its on-time departure and arrival performance both improved by around 15% compared to the same period in 2022’s holiday season. “When customers purchase tickets on American, they place their trust in us to deliver a safe and reliable operation,” said American’s chief operating officer David Seymour, “and I’m proud to say that thanks to the hard work of our team members, we delivered on that commitment — despite holiday headwinds, including some challenging weather
