The Nigerian government has officially announced the closure of the Abuja International Airport for six weeks from Wednesday (March 8) to carry out comprehensive maintenance of the airport runway. The intention is to move all airlines to Kaduna airport as an alternative but so far only Ethiopian Airlines has agreed with several international airlines warning that they will not operate the Kaduna route.
