Vienna Airport has published its May 2019 traffic performance results.  The number of passengers handled by Vienna Airport in the month of May 2019 rose by 24.4% compared to the prior-year month to 2.87 million travellers. The number of local passengers increased sharply by 29.5%, and transfer passenger volume was up by 6.6%. The number of flight movements in May 2019 also showed a substantial increase of 15.8% year-on-year. Cargo volume at Vienna Airport dropped slightly by 1.5% from the comparable level of May 2018.   The total number of passengers at Vienna Airport flying to destinations in Western Europe
