Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam is to implement a 5% cut to the number of seats that can be booked on flights out of the hub during May holidays. The airport, one of Europe’s biggest and busiest, said it would be gradually expanding the number of travellers that can depart from the end of March, with the average number of daily departing passengers up by 65% since the last winter period to 66,000.
