Passengers will no longer have to remove liquids and computers for separate screening after Munich Airport upgrades the security checkpoint at its Terminal 2. “State-of-the-art technology” would mean “faster, more effective procedures and much greater convenience” for passengers when the revamp is completed in 2024, the Bavarian hub announced on December 7. “Instead of the familiar traditional checkpoints, lanes with innovative technology will be used,” the airport said, with 15 new security lanes in place once all the work is done.
