Manchester Airport handled 2.2 million passengers in April 2023, up 15% compared to April 2022. The airport said Dubai was the most popular destination but that Alicante had started to catch up ahead of the summer holiday season. Belfast and Antalya saw big jumps in traffic. Over 95% of passengers got through security in under 15 minutes, the airport announced. “It was really pleasing to kick April off by delivering a hugely successful Easter, during which more than 300,000 people flew to a wide range of destinations,” said managing director Chris Woodroofe.
