London Heathrow airport is preparing to open a dedicated terminal for passengers arriving from high-risk “red list” countries to help alleviate queuing. An arrivals space for red-list passengers will be opened in Terminal 3 from June 1, moving to Terminal 4 as soon as possible to allow the airport to reopen Terminal 3 for the expected resumption in more commercial flights over the summer since it has been closed since lockdown. “Red-list routes will likely be a feature of UK travel for the foreseeable future as countries vaccinate their populations at different rates. We’re adapting Heathrow to this longer-term reality,”
