Heathrow Airport has reported an adjusted loss before tax of £321 million in the six months to end June 2022, as a result of higher passenger numbers. This is an improvement of prior-year period loss of £466 million. Revenue rose to £1.28bn up from £384 million a year ago. Heathrow’s debt has risen by 8.8% to £14.5bn. The airport served 26.1 million passengers in the six month period – a considerable rise from the 3.9 million in the six months to end June 2021. Heathrow has commented that its actions to cut capacity to “balance with airline ground handler capacity”
