Norwegian state-backed airport operator Avinor announced on December 7 it had approved the construction of a new airport at the Arctic town of Bodo, which is to be ready by 2029 and to be located almost a kilometer from the airport it will replace. Avinor is to part with NOK 2.6 billion to help fund the project, which is expected to cost NOK 7.2 billion, exluding land and financing.
