One of Singapore’s main airports had one of its two runways closed after a drone was sighted. The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore closed Changi Airport’s runway 20R, which delayed 37 departures and arrivals, including one flight which was diverted to Kuala Lumpur. Drone disruptions have become a major problem at airports, as evidenced by the issue which happened at London Gatwick airport. Drones or unmanned aircraft systems in Singapore are not allowed within 5km of any airport or military airbase and must fly lower than 200 feet. They also must not weigh heavier than 7kg.
