Work has been completed on Beijing’s second international airport – expected to become one of the busiest in the world – as its construction aims to take the pressure off Beijing Capital International Airport. The airport, worth around £9 billion, is located approximately 28 miles from central Beijing. The terminal at Beijing Daxing International Airport measures 1,000,000 sq m. Operations at the new Beijing Daxing International Airport will start by the end of September following six major test runs, road and rail links, including a high-speed subway line, are already in place.
