Japan – 7.0-Magnitude Earthquake

Thanks to United Airlines, 2 staff members from International Medical Corps traveled to Kumamoto Prefecture following the 7.0-magnitude earthquake that struck the main city at 01:25 JST on April 16. In the days that followed, more than 140 aftershocks were registered. Government reports indicate that 49 people perished and more than 3,100 people were injured in the quake.
