Iranian carrier, ATA Airlines, has reached an agreement with Embraer to purchase 10  50-seat aircraft. The airline has declined to comment on whether a firm contract has been signed. The aircraft will be delivered within the next six months. ATA performs 80 flights per day, making it the fourth busiest Iranian airline after Iran Air, Mahan and Aseman. It currently owns operates eight McDonnell Douglas MD-83s, three Airbus A320s and four Boeing 737s.
