Russian carrier Aeroflot saw a 9.3% increase in revenue for 2019 as it announced its fourth quarter and final year results yesterday. Citing fluctuating foreign exchange rates – the rouble appreciated against the euro by 2% and depreciate 3% versus the dollar over – Aeroflot said in a statement that cost control was a major factor in its increased revenues.  The Russian carrier saw a 6.8% increase in flights operation and passenger traffic increased by 4.1% to 37.2 million, which the firm attributed to the expansion of the route network and an increase in flight frequencies.
