Virgin Australia is all set to become Australia’s first airline to offer baggage tracking for passengers through a smartphone app. The facility will be available on select routes and progressively roll out across the airline’s network. The service is available in the app by enabling notifications in the app settings. Consumers will receive a push notification when their luggage has been received post-check-in and when it arrives at their destination. To start with, the service will be made available in Brisbane- Sydney route. Consumers must check the app to see whether the flight is eligible for bag tracking.
