Rolls-Royce’s Pearl 700 engine recently received European Union’s Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification. According to Rolls-Royce, the Pearl 700 is a custom-designed engine to power two of Gulfstream’s latest aircraft, the Gulfstream G700 and, Gulfstream G800 enabling them to fly ultra-long-range missions nearly as fast as the speed of sound.
