Qantas is reported to be negotiating to buy several used 747-400 freighters that will replace the two 747Fs wet leased from Atlas Air when their contracts expire. The order is not set in stone however since the airline is also considering entering into a contract with another cargo airline or renewing the deal with Atlas Air.
