Boeing has denied claims in the press that the 787 program is subject to further delays. It has stated the first 787 Dreamliner will be delivered in the first quarter of 2011. News reports suggested airlines could face delays of an extra 10 months. Share in the aircraft manufacturer fell on the news on Friday even though Boeing denied the rumours, stating that: “Today’s press reports about new 787 delivery timing for several customers appear to be based on the program schedule announced in August,” said Lori Gunter, spokeswoman for Boeing.
