Icon Polymer secures deal with Rolls-Royce

Icon Polymer, which supplies polymer components to the global aerospace sector, has won a major contract with Rolls- Royce’s Civil Aerospace business. This contract covers the design, test and manufacture of specialist inner core fairing seals for the Trent 7000 engine which will be used exclusively on the Airbus A330neo medium-range passenger aircraft. Icon will supply fire seals which will be extensively tested and qualified by the company’s dedicated team to ensure they can withstand some of the most extreme conditions encountered in the aerospace sector. The first parts will be supplied in early 2016 with the first aircraft scheduled
