Following a live test on Friday (October 8), where some 2,000 volunteer passengers were processed through the new €600 million terminal, Dublin Airport terminal 2 is due to be opened on the third week of November. During the test, volunteers were subject to full check in and security procedures. According to the Dublin Airport Authority, the test went as planned with just a few minor hitches. The terminal, which took three years to build, will accommodate  Aer Lingus, Etihad and four US carriers.
