Africa World Airlines (AWA), a new Ghanaian airline headquartered in Accra, has selected Commsoft’s OASES to support its fleet of six Embraer EMB-145 aircraft. Communications Software’s OASES (Open Aviation Strategic Engineering System) is a MRO IT system, structured in a modular format to allow for scalability. AWA has chosen the Core, Airworthiness, Planning, Materials, Line Maintenance Control, Production, Commercial and Warranty modules. AWA has its main hub at Kotoka International Airport and operates scheduled flights from Accra to Kumasi, Takoradi and Tamale in Ghana and international services to Lagos and Abuja in neighbouring Nigeria.
