Commercial Aircraft Engine Co (part of AVIC) is accelerating the research and development of a second engine option for the COMAC C919. This engine will be a domestic engine of choice no doubt if it comes to market fast enough. At the moment AVIC are saying it will be in the air by 2020, that is fast and to that end it will be interesting to see what other engine the design is based upon.
