Bombardier has confirmed speculation by announcing it has approved the launch of a new large business aircraft to help it fend off competition from rival Gulfstream’s new G650. The Montreal-based company will release details of the new addition to the Global Express family at the National Business Aviation Association’s convention next month in Georgia. Bombardier Aerospace president Guy Hachey said: “Our intention is to grow our leadership position and the time is right to move forward with our extended Global aircraft family,” It is reported that the new aircraft will build upon the Global 5000 and Global Express XRS business
