Boeing has confirmed it will not follow Airbus to further increase production beyond the target of 42 aircraft a month, warning against flooding the market with too many passenger jets to meet Asian demand. However the US manufacturer is investigating ways to reduce its seven-year waiting list for its narrowbody aircraft. Boeing is reported to be studying whether Renton can handle more than 42 aircraft a month, with an interim goal of 44 a month.
