UK Channel Islands-based Aurigny Air Services has taken delivery of its first Embraer 195, which will be used to add capacity on the carrier’s four daily Guernsey-London Gatwick flights. The aircraft is Aurigny’s first jet airliner, which also operates a single ATR 72-200, two ATR 72-500s and six Britten-Norman Trislanders. Aurigny stated that the EMB-195 order, placed in August 2013, was instigated by Flybe’s decision to cut its competing Guernsey-London Gatwick flights.
