ATR TURNS DOWN OFFER OF AFRICAN TRAINING BASE

ATR will not establish a training base in Eastern Africa despite request from those countries, instead the facility will be based in South Africa. The move has confused observers because East Africa airline such as Fly540 and Precision Air operate various ATR models. The ATR training centre in South Africa will provide courses for all current ATR models of the various ATR42 and ATR72 makes.
