Airbus wins 754 orders

Airbus has confirmed it has won 754 orders in the first eight months of the year. Airbus boosted its orderbook in August with transactions for 346 aircraft across its single-aisle and widebody product lines. The 44 deliveries during the month involved Airbus’ single-aisle A320 Family aircraft along with widebody A330s and A380s. As a result, total orders for the A320neo (new engine option) product line surpassed 4,000 (increasing to 4,193) and the company marked another new industry-record with a backlog of almost 6,700 aircraft to be delivered.
