Alain Flourens, head of the A380 programme at Airbus, has been quoted in French newspaper Le Figaro saying that the manufacturer intends to reduce production of the aircraft to one a month, down from 2.5 aircraft currently, from 2018. The decision will enable Airbus to smooth out the delivery of its pending new orders, Flourens is quoted as saying by Reuters.
