Airbus will take a €124m charge for delaying the A350 programme by a further three months. In its first half results report, EADS announced: “This quarter, with the A350 XWB Entry-into-Service moving into H2 2014, Airbus Commercial booked a charge of €124 million to account for the actual delay of around three months.” The manufacturer says it needs the extra time for “the time taken for the implementation of the automated drilling process for the wings”. The new target for entry of the A350 is the second-half of 2014.
