In a statement to the French newspaper Le Parisian, Airbus has said that the first model of the Airbus A350 XWB will be received by Qatar Airways by mid-2013. The Qatari carrier’s quota of 80 aircraft represents 14.3% of the total order placed by 33 customers worldwide. Qatar Airways is now operating 72 aircraft to 85 cities around the globe and planning to operate more than 120 aircraft by 2013 and increase the destinations to more than 120 cities.
