Boeing has stated that the test flight to check the 787’s new battery system “went according to plan”. The battery system has been redesigned since the aircraft type was grounded following a series of incidents. Boeing now intends to analyze the data and prepare for another test flight aimed at demonstrating the system to regulators in “coming days”.
