Zunum Aero has been awarded $81.2 million, alongside $11.6 million for tortious interference, following its lawsuit against Boeing. However, for “failing to mitigate damages”, the amount awarded was reduced to £72 million. The amount could be tripled depending on a judge’s decision due to laws surrounding trade secrets. A jury, made up of nine people, agreed with Zunum that Boeing had “misappropriated 11 of Zunum’s trade secrets and enriched itself in the process”.
